The Los Angeles Dodgers have traded Aaron Harang to the Colorado Rockies for Ramon Hernandez. The Dodgers are also sending over cash in the deal.
The Dodgers had to trade at least one of Harang/Capuano/Lilly and this does just that. It also provides the Dodgers with a decent backup catcher and will most likely allow them to sendΒ Tim Federowicz to AAA.
On the flip side the Rockies needed starting pitching, but as Bill Shaikin points out, Aaron Harang‘s career ERA at Coors Field: 5.63 (7 G). The Rockies are likely to now designate Harang for assignment and attempt a trade with another club.
