Dodger Stadium Crowd Sings Happy Birthday To Alex Verdugo
Alex Verdugo remarked before last night’s game that he’s never played well on his birthday. Still – Verdugo did fine on Wednesday night – going 1 for 3 with a run scored.
Equally important was what happened during the Dodgers 2-0 shutout victory of the Padres. It was then that Verdugo got a birthday ovation that many of us will never receive.
Indeed, in the video below; you will hear the Dodger Stadium crowd singing Verdugo happy birthday.

Surely, it’s good to be Verdugo right now.
He just turned 23 years old, and the best fans in baseball all remembered it was his big day. Moreover, he’s hitting .330 at the time of this post; proof that he’s an everyday big leaguer.
While it might come a few months later than his big day – we’re sure Verdugo wouldn’t mind a late present of a World Series ring. Undoubtedly for that to happen, he will need to continue playing a really big role.
You only turn 23 once, Alex! Happy Birthday from all of us at Dodgers Nation!
