Dodger Stadium Will Host 2017 World Baseball Classic Semifinals and Finals

Dodger Stadium has some exciting news! They will be the host of the 2017 World Baseball Classic semifinal and final games! Two other MLB stadiums were chosen to host games of the WBC as well.

The last time Los Angeles hosted the semifinal and final games was in 2009. A sold-out stadium watched as Japan defeated Korea 5-3 after 10 innings! This game was cause for notice for Los Angeles as they watched Hyun-Jin Ryu pitch two-thirds of an inning in relief.

The first round of games will be held in Marlins Park, Miami and Estadio Charros de Jalisco in Gaudalajara, Mexico. The second round will be held at Petco Park, San Deigo.

Then the games will jump over to Los Angeles on March 20-22, 2017. This is sure to be a big boost for the Dodgers as it is expected to be a highly anticipated series leading to another sold out stadium.
