Grant Holmes got a late season promotion to Ogden and pitched well up until his final start, when he couldn’t get the feel for his curveball and opposing batters drilled his fastball. These blips on the radar are less important than how he responds to them.

Justin Chigbogu

The single-season home run record was broken by none other than Justin Chigbogu, who began the year in Low-A Great Lakes, but was sent back to the Raptors after struggling with the Loons.

He still shows tremendous power but that comes with a lot of strikeouts. Chigbogu needs to prove himself in full season ball next year.

Along with Holmes, Ogden had another flame-throwing righty in their rotation with Jeff Brigham. The Dodgers’ fourth rounder showed an electric fastball that touched the mid 90s and, when he located his breaking ball, overwhelmed hitters.
