Dodgers: 3 Players Who Could Have a Big Night in Arizona

The Dodgers head out to Arizona tonight to start a 3-game set with the Diamondbacks. Facing off against a team that has struggled to get anything going in the early part of the year, Los Angeles will look to keep rolling. They just took down the Braves and Padres in their series, winning 4 of 6 games played.

But there are a few guys primed to have a big night in Arizona. Two of these Dodgers players really need it too, after getting off to an unusually slow start to the 2022 season. So let’s dive into those before game time.

Justin Turner

JT has yet to get the bat going, and he’s hitting just .218 and has shown no signs of power. But the Dodgers know what he is capable of once he gets things rolling. A good time to do that would be tonight against Merrill Kelly

In his career, JT is 7-for-15 in his career, most of which have been base hits. He does not have a homerun but does have a double to his name.

Will Smith

Smith has had a bit of a slow start as well, but there’s no reason to believe that the Dodgers backstop won’t get the swing going soon. He has gone 6-for-11 off of Kelly in his career, including a homerun and a double.

Max Muncy

Add Muncy to the list of guys that really need a good night at the plate on Monday. Max is hitting just .140, though he is reaching base at a very high clip all things considered. He has gone 8-for-18 in his career against Kelly, and getting his power swing going would be very helpful.
