Dodgers Announce Alex Verdugo Bobblehead Night

The Dodgers have announced an Alex Verdugo Bobblehead Night courtesy on September 17 when the club holds an inter-league series against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Alex Verdugo, while not exactly figuring to garner much support in the Rookie of the Year conversation, has been a lineup mainstay for the Dodgers and a steady presence all season.

It is hard to believe that he still qualifies as a rookie in 2019 considering how long he has been up and down with the big club.

Verdugo is well-deserving of his own bobblehead night when factoring in his performance, his meaning to the Dodgers as a whole, and the energy he brings to both the clubhouse and fanbase.

Everyone loves “Volver, Volver” by Vicente Fernandez. In a way, Dugie’s personality has made the season an even more enjoyable one.

The 23-year-old outfielder holds a .294 batting average and .817 on-base plus slugging. He has accumulated a whopping 14 defensive runs saved and a 2.2 WAR mark.

2019 Bobbleheads

This continues an exceptional season of great bobblehead giveaways. Dugie marks the 15th and final bobblehead for the 2019 season.

Daniel Preciado

My name is Daniel Preciado and I am 19 years old. I am a sophomore Sport Analytics major and Cognitive Science and Economics dual minor at Syracuse University. When I am not in New York, I live in Whittier, California --- not too far from Chavez Ravine. I am pretty old-school for being an analytics guy and I will always embrace debate. Also, Chase Utley did absolutely nothing wrong.
