Dodgers: Are the Giants for Real? Too Many No Hitters, & More | Blue Heaven Podcast

Episode 199: “Everyone Gets a No-No, And a Game with Gail!”

So, things got real good real quick for the Dodgers at home, and we’ll get into that in a second, but first we dive into all the no-nos in baseball. No hitter number 6 happened on Wednesday night, a day after no hitter number 5. Are all the no hitters good for baseball? We turn to 3-time Cy Young award winner Clayton Kershaw for his thoughts.

Back to the Dodgers, the ship was very much righted for the boys in blue as soon as they got back home to Dodger Stadium. Officially, they finished a 9 game homestand going 8-1. So the question has to be asked, are the Dodgers are bad road team or did they just play too many games on the road when they were playing their worst baseball?

Next, LA finally heads up to SF to play the Giants for the first time this season. We look ahead to the series that features some fun matchups and wonder if we should really truly should worry about the Jints.

  1. One of the reasons there are more no hitters is that the hitters are still swinging for the fence as if we were still in the latest juiced ball era, and it’s only resulting in warning track flyouts. Hit line drives. Beat out some grounders. Drop some bunts. Play baseball.

  2. Time will tell if the Giants are for real. But they are definitely for real this weekend after pummelling the Reds. The closing game of that series was 19 to zip. The Dodgers will need to bring their A game to this series.

  3. I have not seen the line-up yet for todays game. I am not eating any more crow. I can see Muncy and Lux can really hit the baseball. Whats new with them, they are opening there eyes finding the baseball. Keep it going
