Dodgers Boast Highest Odds to Win World Series per Fangraphs

According to Fangraphs, the Dodgers are the favorites to win the World Series in 2019 by a wide margin.

The Dodgers are the strongest team in the National League West by a huge margin.

The club has a 21.1% chance to win the World Series with the Astros possessing a 20.6% chance and the Yankees checking in at 11.9%.

The Dodgers currently boast a 99.6% chance of the making the playoffs and a whopping 98.4% chance of winning the division according to the algorithms used over at Fangraphs.

These projections come as no real surprise considering just how talented the Dodgers roster is as currently constructed and the fact that they will add more to their core to contend for the elusive ring again.

However, what is surprising, is that they are indeed the favorite. The Astros are playing well beyond the level the Dodgers are playing at at the moment, but the teams mentioned are all within close proximity to each other.

Something else that is important to note is the fact that the Dodgers have the weakest schedule in their division the rest of the way and the second-weakest out of all National League teams, but not by much.

The Dodgers continue the chase to a World Series ring once again and it is very nice to see them be recognized with the highest odds of possibly being able to get it done for the first time since 1988.

    1. NODH, consider this I posted on the Rich Hill page where he says he still believes in this year’s BP:
Folks, if you recall back at the end of the 1993 season when Jody Reed spent that year as the Dodger 2dn baseman and Jose Offerman was the SS, Jody left the team after that and in that year, Offerman showed he was truly lacking defensively and Reed had a hard time with him as a DP partner. At that year’s end he told Fred Claire and FO that Dodgers WILL NOT win with the SS they have. Spring forward to this year, 2019, and I, along with most here I believe will agree that the Dodgers WILL NOT win (go deep into PS and get to WS) with the BP this team now has. Case closed!

      1. I agree. Any close games will be lost. The offense is great but can’t be expected to score a ton of runs every game in the playoffs against top pitching. They will have to win some tight low scoring games
