Dodgers Broadcast Crew Takes a Shot at the Astros Cheating

The Dodgers and Astros wrapped up a tense series in Houston last night that resulted in a sweep. In a series that saw plenty of trash-talking, the broadcast crew even got their licks in.

The moment came during an Astros at-bat during the bottom of the 5th inning. Dylan Floro was on to face Jose Altuve in a tied game with a runner aboard. When Altuve struck out, Orel Hershiser took a much-deserved shot at the little fella.

Hershiser is of course referring to the Astros cheating scandal that rocked Major League Baseball during the offseason. Hershiser has long been vocal about his displeasure with the Astros blatantly cheating the Dodgers out of the 2017 World Series and didn’t hold back all night.

Hershiser also talked about the scandal during Tuesday’s broadcast. He reiterated that the Dodgers absolutely should have been the champions following the 2017 season.

I view the 2017 Dodgers as world champions. And I think that their legacy should be that. It won’t be, but it should be. They were ripped off.

The Dodgers managed to take both games from Houston despite having to go deep into extra-innings last night. They will not face off against them until the second week of September when they come into Dodger Stadium.

Next Up For the Dodgers

After a series split, the Dodgers will head to Arizona for a four-game series with the Diamondbacks. Their starting rotation is mostly set, though Dave Roberts has yet to officially name a starter for Friday as of this post. A member of the taxi squad or one of the guys from the USC candidates are all options to take Wood’s turn in the order.
