Dodgers: Chris Taylor Confident That Trevor Bauer Will be a Good Teammate

The Dodgers are in the middle of a drastic change to the overall look of their team. Players that have been around for years and have been an important part of the clubhouse culture are suddenly headed off to new destinations. Los Angeles is also adding in some new faces, most notably Trevor Bauer.

Bauer deal with Los Angeles comes with a lot of question marks. Dodgers fans worry that his NL Cy Young might not be a true indication of what he is capable of, but that’s also not their biggest worry. His reputation among fans online has led to worries that he would not fit in with the current team’s culture.

But according to Chris Taylor, he’s not worried at all about Bauer fitting in with the Dodgers. CT3 recently spoke with am570’s David Vassegh about the addition of Bauer, and what he believes he brings to the team.

I’ve heard from his former teammates and everyone that’s played with him that he’s a good teammate and he works hard. Obviously, he’s a student of the game and he’s doing something right with the season he had last year. I think he’s going to not only help our team be better but he’s going to help some of our other pitchers…guys are going to want to pick his brain and he should help everybody.

Thus far, we’ve heard all positive feedback from Dodgers players when asked about the acquisition of Bauer. While adding in a new player is always a roll of the dice, it’s clear at this point that the clubhouse belongs to Mookie Betts.

If anything is going to change, hopefully it’s any negative reputation that Bauer has created for himself.

  1. The Dodgers should look into signing Ryan Braun as a RH bat off the bench, He is a local guy from the area and mashes left handed pitchers or Kevin Pillar, another good choice..

  2. We can all hope he fits into the Dodger’s culture. He and Price will be at Camelback and I am sure they can teach some of the young pitchers the Dodgers will have in camp the craft of pitching but more importantly the mindset.
Mookie, Kershaw, Taylor, Pollock, Jansen, Taylor are all mature guys that will hold onto the Team culture. Players like Price bring their own professionalism.
