Dodgers: Chris Taylor Does Holiday Virtual Visit At LA Children’s Hospital For A Young Dodger Fan

Baseball fans aren’t getting what they wall want for the holidays. An agreement between the MLBPA and MLB to end the lockout would be the best Christmas gift, but hopefully, that will come soon into the new year. To get into the holiday spirit, it is good to focus on the less fortunate. Chris Taylor, a noted good guy, certainly has taken the holiday spirit and put it to good use by doing a virtual visit with a young Dodgers fan who is a patient at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Christian The Brave Young Dodger Fan

The young Dodgers fan named Christian wore a smile on his face and congratulated Taylor on their world series win last season.

“Congratulations on winning in 2020! It was a big deal. I had a lot of fun partying and everything.”

Christian also expressed his gratitude for Taylor’s decision to re-sign with the Dodgers and stay in LA.

“I wanted to say thank you for signing with the Dodgers again. We needed you. We need you. You’re one of the big players of the team, so thank you for that.”

Taylor responded with his own gratitude.

“Thank you so much. That means a lot to me,” said Taylor. “I’m excited to be back, too. I didn’t want to be anywhere else.”

Walk Off

Christian also told Taylor that he was present at a game where Taylor hit a walk-off home run. The game he’s likely referencing was against the Colorado Rockies in 2018. This was Taylor’s first walk-off home run of his career. It clearly was a memory that Christian will never forget, and a likely reason for his fandom and admiration of Taylor.

Taylor Made

Taylor is known as a quiet man, but he is clearly very generous. There are many stories of Taylor visiting kids in hospitals and making friends with young Dodger fans who are going through difficult times. These stories don’t typically make it to the media, as Taylor prefers to do these things quietly. Taylor’s personality may be quiet, but his deeds aren’t quiet. Bringing some joy to a child in need is one of the purest things a player can do. Taylor exudes the spirit of the holiday season, and very few players represent the Dodgers as respectfully as Taylor does.

Merry Christmas, Christian. The hearts of all Dodger fans go out to you and wish you go get well soon.

  1. Took less money to stay in L.A. It use to happen years ago. Very unusual now to be faithful to your team! Glad he stayed! He is an asset to our team ????

  2. I am very glad that Chris Taylor resigned with the Dodgers. The world needs more people like him. Thanks for being who you are. Have a Wonderful Holiday Season to you and your family and your Dodger family too.

  3. Just love Chris! He makes the hit when the chips are down. Hope the Dodgers owners know that too! He’s also a great outfielder and catches unbelievable balls when they come his way. Happy Holidays Chris T

  4. CT3 has made some plays over the years where he has put his whole body on the line. Many players would pull up and let a ball drop in. But not Chris. I’ve always felt that both he and Kike would contend for a GG if they stayed at one position instead of moving around. So thankful CT3 has stayed in LA.

  5. Always liked him but with this off season signing and his willingness to stay in LA for less has made him one of my favorite Dodgers. Noted that he is not a client of Boras so the humility and loyalty will be noted and acknowledged by many Dodger fans
