In case you missed it during the other excitement from the Dodgers’ 9-4 win over the Cardinals on Monday, one fantastic moment between two best friends was caught on camera during the game.
Clayton Kershaw hit Austin Barnes in the face while doing one of the team’s many celebratory options and it was hilarious.

Now that’s no way to treat your personal catcher, Clayton. Thankfully Matt Beaty remained out of harm’s way.
What’s more concerning is the lack of concern or awareness of his surroundings for Kershaw. That’s his Hall of Fame left arm he’s swinging around!
That is Clayton’s left arm, get out of the way.

Clayton and Barnesy thankfully remained unharmed from the incident.
The Dodgers play the rubber game against the Cardinals tonight at Dodger Stadium with Walker Buehler on the mound and facing Carlos Martinez. First pitch is set for 6:10 PM PT.
