Dodgers: Cody Bellinger Is Up For a Platinum Glove Award, Vote Now!

Belli needs your vote for the Platinum Glove Award!

Certainly, it’s been a big week for Los Angeles Dodgers’ outfielder Cody Bellinger. Of course you know that he won his first Rawlings Gold Glove Award earlier in the week. Then, Bellinger spoke about what taking home that hardware meant to him.

From there, Bellinger was labeled the Dodgers’ most untouchable trade asset and named a finalist on the MVP ballot all within a day. Therefore, it’s been a banner week for the 24-year old superstar.

However, things aren’t finished yet; and you will have your opportunity to decide a very special award. Right now, Bellinger is up for the Rawlings Platinum Glove Award. This award is given to the best fielder in each league, and while a player at every position is listed; only one player will win in the National League.

Not that he needs our help convincing you – but before we tell you how to vote for Cody – check out the best plays from his 2019 defensive highlights.

Obviously if you care enough to do that, you have done your part.

Undeniably, Bellinger would make a fine choice to take home this award. Bellinger put up 7 Outs Above Average (OAA) per Statcast and 26 combined Defensive Runs Saved (DRS) per Fangraphs. He put up 19 DRS in right field, in particular, leading the position. Remember the effort and versatility that Bellinger displayed in right field, center, and first base when casting your vote.

There isn’t another player in all of baseball who plays those three positions with elite defensive quality.

In closing, you have until November 7th to cast your vote! So vote now! And send this post to a friend, preferably one who is passionate about Bellinger’s defensive acumen.
