Dodgers: Cody Bellinger Provides an Update Post Shoulder Surgery

Not the best way to celebrate a World Series win, right? And it all started perhaps with a not the best way to celebrate a home run scenario for Dodgers slugger Cody Bellinger. Moreover, Bellinger underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair damage suffered after dislocating his right shoulder in game 7 of the NLCS.

After the surgery, Cody posted an update on his Instagram while thanking fans for their well wishes.

Importantly, some of Belli’s teammates gave him some love in the comments section.

Kiké Hernandez — the guy who injured Cody — responded with…

Get well baby boy!!! #LessonLearned

Pitcher Alex Wood noted the not exactly perfect framing of the photo and suggested that Bellinger should have let his girlfriend edit the post.

Despite the surgery and 10 week recovery time, the Dodgers are expecting the former NL MVP to be ready for spring training in February. Bellinger will begin his rehab next week in Arizona.

  1. Hope you recover 100%. Put on some weight and adjust your swing. Learn how to bunt with the rest of the Dodgers so they can’t over shift all the time. Less partying!

  2. Get well soon. We are all looking forward to 2021. But, who is the pregnant guy in the corner.

  3. I wish you a speedy recovery. Looking forward to 2020! Go Dodgers!!!! The MLB Champions!!!!
