In where did this come from news, the Dodgers and Royals have officially completed a July 29 trade for left-handed pitcher Danny Duffy. Right-handed pitcher Zach Willeman was sent to the Royals on Wednesday. Kansas City made the announcement.

Duffy, in case you don’t recall, was acquired from the Royals in a deadline deal for a player to be named later. The player KC was able to select from LA was based on Duffy’s time on the active roster. At the time of the deal, he was recovering from a forearm injury. The Dodgers made the deal with an eye on a potential September into October bullpen addition but, unfortunately, the pitcher suffered another injury while ramping up for a potential return that likely will require Tommy John surgery.

    1. Like it really matters? Trading a AA pitcher? Who cares? Call me when he makes the majors.

  1. It just shows that FO and Friedman were acting and not really doing something, while not sitting on their hands for 150 games of the season watching the $$$ pour in.

    1. Well while you’re at it, then throw in the signing of Tommy Kahnle, Cole Hamels and I’m sure I’m leaving out some.

      1. They were just grasping at straws. Sure they made headlines with the Scherzer/Turner deal, but they have more disasters than good moves this year IMHO.

  2. At the trade deadline, why weren’t we looking for better production off the bench? Besides Pujols, the rest of them are scrubs. Never replaced Joc or Kiki. Where was the front office when Rosario of the Braves got traded to them from Cleveland. He cost them a bucket of balls, because he was hurt at the time.
