Dodgers: Corey Seager Serves as Drummer for Carolina Panthers on NFL Sunday

Corey Seager truly can do it all. The Dodgers shortstop already won the World Series and NLCS MVP this season, and he added another accolade this Sunday: Drummer Boy.

Seager served as the “Keep Pounding” drummer for the Carolina Panthers of the NFL this week. The All-Star shortstop used his powerful left-handed swing to try to get his home state Panthers going against the New Orleans Saints. Keep Pounding has become the mantra for Panthers players and coaches over the years, and they use the drum often during games.

Unfortunately for Seager and the Panthers, New Orleans walked away with a victory thanks in part to future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees. But watching our favorite Dodgers shortstop get the chance to be a “drummer” made it all worth while.

Other News

The Dodgers had been reported to be looking at DJ LeMahieu, but up until now, those have just been rumors. The latest report coming out of MLB Network though is that Los Angeles is maintaining interest and monitoring his market closely. Adding DJ into the mix would make for quite the powerful lineup offensively.

In other news, MLB players will likely not be first in line for the COVID-19 vaccine before it becomes widely available. It will take the approval of public health officials in order for athletes to be given the vaccine.

Fans in Los Angeles got quite the treat this year when the Lakers AND the Dodgers brought home championships in the same month. Lakers owner Jeanie Buss made a trip out to Dodger Stadium this week to get her chance to hold the Commissioner’s Trophy, and we already cant wait for the parade.
