Former Dodger Matt Kemp hit what proved to be the deciding home run off of Ferguson in the 8th. He chatted after the game about happy memories at Dodger Stadium.

Despite the loss, there were some bright spots. Corey Seager connected on a pair of home runs and added 3 runs batted in. AJ Pollock chipped in 3 hits and Will Smith had a single and a home run in 4 at-bats.

  1. As I have stated for the last two years the Dodgers, no matter how good their team, will never win the WS with Roberts as the manager because he continually makes nonsensical pitching decisions.
    Last night was another example….
It is so disheartening as the Dodger organization has assembled one of the strongest if not the strongest team in baseball that is young, sustainable with its youth and Farm Team, and is offensively strong.

    1. Dum pitching moves are not the only problem. Lineup decisions rank right up there. Putting Lux in leadoff when he is obviously going thru problems is another big one. Worse manager in baseball.

      1. Roberts reminds me of Pete Carroll the Seahawks coach who made the decision to pass while on the goal line in the Superbowl. It’s like WTH were you thinking Dave!!! He’s got dumb arse all over himself. He’s a yes man for the front office and you are correct that the Dodgers will never win a World Series Championship with Roberts at the helm.

      2. Why the heck would you put lux at leadoff. Just dumba## move by Roberts. Can’t manage a lineup. Can’t manage pitchers dodgers will be done in first round

      3. Clearly, the worst manager in baseball. What other manager would be damn fool enough to even consider using Ferguson with the game on the line? ( on Sunday Night). He should of been fired that night. He should be fired, right now. What ever good they do with him managing is done despite him being the manager.

  2. “The bullpen has been great all season long, this was just one of those nites.“ Everyone says again!

  3. The Dodgers really are going to manage to burn a bullpen in a 60 game season. They’d be the ones to do it

    1. Regardless of what we say, Roberts will continue to do the dumb moves as usual because he doesn’t know any other way. He has more relievers but to use the same ones night after night will only show his poor limitations!!!

      1. He will continue to act like a stubborn stupid baby, because that’s what people do when constructive criticism gets marginalized. All criticism gets met with “Are you a Giants fan? ” etc.

  4. Robert’s obviously does not have confidence in himself doing the things he does to manage , he goes on a whim to make a decision , most of the time leading to failure , hoping his choice of decision will some how work out , making him look good ,very rarely does it work for the best, don’t forget Jansen kept using him last year when he shouldn’t have ,what happened ?? !! LOSS . Anyways, he will do the same this year again, go to Jansen, who is starting to show signs of inconsistency .Wait until 2021 a lot of changes will be made, mainly because of the failure of this year.A short season go with common sense. DODGERS FAIL TO GET TO WORLD SERIES AGAIN …..I could say more .

  5. Clearly, the worst manager in baseball. What other manager would be damn fool enough to even consider using Ferguson with the game on the line? ( on Sunday Night).
