On the last day of the MLB trade deadline, Juan Soto wound up getting traded to the San Diego Padres. The Dodgers did acquire an All-Star caliber outfielder in Joey Gallo, but trading for an outfielder with a .159 average probably wasn’t what the Dodgers faithful were hoping for.

  1. To the guy that said “our hitting coaches work wonders.” Max Muncy, Cody Bellinger, Austin Barnes are my answers to that! Oh, but I’m sure they’ll turn a lifetime.201 hitter into Tony Gwynn

    1. Well said. I can envision clown Roberts having a lineup consisting of Muncy, Bellinger, Barnes, and Gallo vs the Padres because he”believes” in these guys. Dodgers should have picked up Soto and then flipped him in 2.5 years to get prospects if they didn’t want to pay him and Boras when Soto’s contract ends. Wonder what Boras is going to ask for when Cody’s contract end. He obviously ain’t worth $18 million a year

  2. It’s swap of Lamb for Gallo and Gallo is a much better fielder. This is a non-event except to the degree that he takes ABs from Vargas and Outman.
