Dodgers fans have really come together over the last couple of days. All across the internet, they’ve cried together, shared personal stories, and talked about their favorite memories of Vin Scully. Los Angeles is massive, and sometimes it’s very hard for a group of us to find any sort of common ground.

But we could always agree on one thing: Vin Scully was the greatest to ever do it. We asked fans this week if they could describe him in 5 words or less, and the feedback was incredibly special.

This about sums it up as a whole. We all loved and adored Vin, and even if he didn’t know who we were, he absolutely felt like our best friend. Like a close relative that we could always count on to be there.

When you heard those magic words from the voice of Vin, you knew you were home. And you knew it was your favorite time of the year: baseball season.

No better way to sum it all up. Vin was absolutely the greatest to ever do it. And there will never be another like him.

When you heard the voice of Vin, you knew it was summertime.

Vin certainly had a way with his words. The way that he could paint a picture for fans over the radio was incredible. And it made it very much feel like you were there at the ravine.

The voice of Los Angeles. There is no better way to put it. We’ll miss you great Vin, there really will never be another one like you. A legend. A titan of sports. A friend. What 5 words would you use to describe the legend that is Vin Scully? Drop them down in the comments section.
