Dodgers: First Look at Max Scherzer in Blue at Chase Field

Dodgers fans have been patiently waiting to see Max Scherzer and Trea Turner out on the field. Just a day after their trade became official, fans were wondering when they might get that chance to see them.

Turner will need to wait a bit as he is on the COVID injured list. But Scherzer took the field today to play catch with the Dodgers. The perennial Cy Young candidate made his way out onto the outfield grass at Chase Field this afternoon to throw the ball.

And he was in his Dodgers gear.

Other Dodgers News

The Dodgers are lining up to face the Astros this week in Los Angeles. While that series has its own excitement and anticipation, there is another added factor. Max Scherzer is scheudled to make his debut for the team and pitch against Houston on Wednesday, as confirmed by Dave Roberts.

The Dodgers have needed arms out in the bullpen all year long. And while they did not get a big reliever at the deadline, they will be getting one back soon. Corey Knebel took the next steps of his rehab assignment and came out of another outing clean. He looks ready.
