Dodgers: Freddie Freeman’s Cactus League Debut Date Set

Games are already underway out in Glendale as the Dodgers kick off their Spring Training. And if you’re one of the fans who get the chance to get out to Arizona to catch some ballgames, you’re going to want to be there this week.

The Dodgers have been slowly bringing their regular players into games since Friday. Guys like Clayton Kershaw, Justin Turner, Chris Taylor, and Will Smith have already gotten into game-action. But there have been a few big names that have yet to get into games.

One of those is Freddie Freeman. The Dodgers’ big offseason acquisition has been with the team and taking batting practice, and now we finally know when he will get into a game. Dave Roberts spoke to Kirsten Watson after the tie on Sunday and revealed that Freddie would be in the lineup on Tuesday.

“I think for tomorrow we’ll see Muncy, Freddie on Tuesday, and then Mookie on Wednesday. It’s all starting to come together”

Freddie will make his Dodgers debut against the Reds on Tuesday at Camelback Ranch. The way that Doc has deployed his starters so far, it’s fair to expect him to get two at-bats in before leaving for the day.

Meanwhile, Mookie Betts should be making his Spring debut on Wednesday against the Guardians. Those starters will get more and more at-bats as Spring progresses and we head towards the regular season. So if you’re going out to AZ, make sure to get your Tuesday tickets as soon as possible.
