Dodgers: Gavin Lux Reports Back to Spring Camp
The Dodgers were short as many as seven guys at the beginning as this week, but that is changing quickly. After Tony Gonsolin showed up halfway through the week, Los Angeles gets another guy back.
Gavin Lux was listed among the seven guys that had yet to report to camp by Dave Roberts this week. That list included Kenley Jansen, Keibert Ruiz, Scott Alexander, AJ Pollock, Pedro Baez, and Tony Gonsolin. Gonolsin and Lux both showed up this week, though Roberts could not give a reason why they were late to camp.

Lux is not only back on camp, but he will make an appearance in the intrasquad today for the visiting team and will be starting second base. That probably could not have come at a better time with just under two weeks until Opening Day for the Dodgers. Not to mention the fact that they have had a clubhouse attendant playing the field the last few games.
UPDATE
After some back and forth, it appears that Lux will not appear in Friday’s intrasquad action.
Gavin Lux will not play in tonight's intrasquad game, as manager Dave Roberts has decided to give the infielder a day or two of workouts before game action. No known injury or illness.

For Lux, the starting job at second base is his to lose this year. There is not a clear candidate to battle him for the position this Spring, but he is no doubt behind. Expect him to get plenty of reps in the coming days. Dave Roberts also clarified that Tony Gonsolin was also a bit behind, and would need to be properly built back up to be considered for the fifth rotation spot.

Sorry buy Lux should have to earn 2nd
base position he hasn’t shown anything yet to be given that spot…you would think that Kiki Hernandez has put in more time and is a proven hitter..
???
Glad to see Gavin is on board. We have a good nucleus with he and Wil Smith as VERY high upside players for our lineup. We could have our most solid lineup since moving to LA. That would be saying something when you look at our mid 70’s to 81 lineup.
