Dodgers: Hall of Fame Manager Tommy Lasorda Released From the Hospital

Finally some good news for Dodgers fans that have been anxiously waiting for an update on Tommy Lasorda. After Tommy was supposed to be released from the hospital in time for the holidays, is was reported that he was being held for additional care. He appears to be doing much better now though.

Jon Heyman reported this evening that Lasorda has been released from the hospital. The Dodgers Hall of Fame manager has made it home, and that’s the best update we’ve had on him since he was admitted back in November.

Lasorda was admitted to the hospital with a reported heart issue in early November. That came less than a week after he traveled to Texas to watch the Dodgers play in the World Series. Tommy spent some time in the Intensive Care Unit, but was later moved out and kept in hospital care for observation.

  1. Tommy “The Godfather” Lasorda (2) Happy New Years! Good to hear your feeling better!

  2. Again?!? Reminds me very well about the Betts trade. Almost all was set and done and had to wait it out. Good to know you are back from the hospital, TL, that’s never a fun place to be.
