  1. Le Mahieu will sign in NY. Give it a rest…Arenado is not a good deal, neither is Lindor. Maybe trade for Bryant but better off to extend Seager and give Turner an incentive laden 2 year with an option.

  2. Rumors just to get Yankees nervous about lemahieu signing with Dodgers when in real life Dodgers don’t want him and don’t need him.Bryant out of the question too cause Rios will be better than Bryant who’s not a good defensive 3rd baseman.Dodgers don’t need lindor who’s inferior to Seager or Arenado who’s not impressive out of coors field. Or Bauer who’s inferior to Urias,Buhler and May.

    1. What has Rios done at the plate besides hit some HR’s. Very long swing, strikes out a ton. Yeah he is better than Bryant.

      1. Why do people keep saying Rios strikes out a ton, his 23% whiff rate is lower than Trout, Tatis, way below Acuna at 37%, maybe all these guys shouldn’t be starting either. All he’s done is have well above .900 OPS both in 2019 and 2020. Wake up people, Rios is for real and just getting started.

  3. While it’s not impossible that the Dodgers sign LeMahieu, do you really think they are going to outbid BOTH the Yankees and the Mets? The Yankees realize how crucial he is to their otherwise boom or bust lineup. The Mets now have money and would love to stick it to the Bronxers. This is a truly a case – per Friedman circa 2016 – where if you are rational you will finish third.

  4. Doesn’t hurt to throw out a number does it?
See who counters it & for how much.
Like playing the Lottery, can’t win if you don’t play (buy a ticket).
    Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Maybe Marcus Semien or Eugenio Suarez are the way to go.

  5. DJ also knows the Mets are a few years away from being able to even compete for a World Series appearance. Yankees have some in-house issues that are now starting to play out publicly. If the offers are similar, he may chose LA because he knows the Dodgers are primed for another World Series.

Just because someone out-bids another team does NOT mean DJ is required to go there. It’s entirely his choice. This isn’t an auction…
