Dodgers Injury Update: Josiah Gray Could Get Call Up Soon, Seager/Kershaw Return Coming into Frame
Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Josiah Gray is an option to make a start in the next week for the Dodgers and that they are discussing “bringing someone up” to start in place of the injured Clayton Kershaw. We discuss if the Dodgers should call up their top pitching prospect and if it would be wise to give Kershaw an extended stay on the IL.

I would like to see Josiah Gray open some bullpen games. You can’t extend him in any game, or have him pitch often, and accumulate innings. But you can let him have a taste of the game at the MLB level. He will play no real role in the Dodgers fortunes this year. But let’s see what he looks like. He needs to progress. Not just sit on a minor league shelf.
