Dodgers: Joc Pederson Makes a Huge Shoe Donation to Hospital Workers

When you think of Joc Pederson, you think of a young slugger with a love for shoes. The 28-year-old Dodgers outfielder just showed off his ridiculous shoe collection the other day on B/R Kicks, and now he’s back in the shoe news today.

Joc took to Instagram to announce that he is partnering up with Nike and Nike Los Angeles to give away shoes to medical workers. He shared that Nike is donating five-thousand pairs of Nike Air Zoom Plus shoes to healthcare workers in Los Angeles hospitals.

The move comes just a few days after the Dodgers’ outfielder showed off all of his shoes, so the timing certainly makes sense. Joc notes that the shoes that are being donated are specifically designed for the medical profession and people on their feet all day long.

It’s also very funny to see Joc in his element, with his daughter Poppy yelling in the background of the video. Really it’s something we can all relate to during quarantine. But regardless, it’s great to see another Dodgers player stepping up and helping the community during this difficult time.

Justin Turner and Clayton Kershaw have both been very active in raising money and making large food donations since this pandemic started. Joc is one of the latest DOdgers players to make a large donation to keep the medical professionals fighting, and we can’t thank him enough!

Joc is in the final year of his contract with the Dodgers and will be a free agent for the first time at the end of the 2020 season.
