Dodgers: Joe Kelly Trades His Jersey For a Custom Mariachi Jacket

Dodgers fans have come to know Joe Kelly as a quirky personality. That might be putting it lightly. The hard-throwing reliever has won the hearts of fans in Los Angeles mostly for his antics off of the field, but the incident in Houston last year certainly helped.

This year, Kelly cracked up Dodgers fans with a one-liner he had for an umpire about his glasses during a foreign substance check. He’s also pitched much better as of late, looking like the elite reliever that Los Angeles went out and signed after the 2018 World Series.

This week, Kelly once again did something that had Dodgers fans buzzing. Joe traded his jersey mid-game with one of the mariachi band members performing during Viva Los Dodgers. In this clip, he can be seen asking him before the game if he wants to swap.

It’s just another one of those things that makes Joe Kelly, Joe Kelly. He’s always going to have fun on the baseball field, and he’s always going to play with a lot of passion. If this his last year with the Dodgers, it’s going to be a fun one.
