Garlick, 27, received only one plate appearance with the big club in his short tenure. He returns to Oklahoma City to continue working on his .280/.375/.627 batting line and add to his 10 home runs and 20 RBIs there.
Julio Urías served his 7-day administrative leave, however, question marks remain as MLB and the Dodgers have not mentioned any follow up response to the investigation for a supposed domestic violence incident last week.
Urías should step back into a similar role to what he held prior to his placement on administrative leave. The Dodgers bullpen needs him badly as there remain several questions marks around the relief core. Joe Kelly continues to struggle, Yimi Garcia suffered a recent blowup, and poor peripherals exist for guys like Caleb Ferguson.
Let’s hope that Major League Baseball can conclude their investigation in a timely manner so that all parties involved in the incident can receive closure.
Will Smith has been on a tear. It is time to give him a serious look. Our other options are not good.
