Dodgers: Justin Turner Issues Statement to Fans

The Dodgers’ players and coaches are just as disappointed in the delay of the season as fans are. After Dave Roberts issued a statement in the wake of yesterday’s news, Justin Turner took to Instagram today to talk to fans as well.

Major League Baseball has put games on hold indefinitely, but that has not stopped players from reaching out. Turner pointed out how disappointed he and the team were, but were hopeful for a resolution.

Just wanted to let you know- we’re just as excited as you are about the 2020 season. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we’re going to get to play on Opening Day in LA. Hopefully, we come to a quick resolution and get this season started sooner rather than later.

The Dodgers were slated to play in Los Angeles on March 26th against the Giants. That series will likely either not happen or be pushed back to another date. Turner knows as well as we all do that this team is special, and he knows the season still holds something special.

We’re excited about our team, we’re excited about the journey ahead of us, and looking forward to bringing a championship back to LA.

Us too Justin, us too. Baseball, please come back soon.
