Dodgers: Justin Turner Wants to Win Dave Roberts Another World Series Title

It’s hard to believe that Dave Roberts was named the manager of the Dodgers almost 6 years ago now. Following the departure of Don Mattingly after a few years of playoff failure, Doc stepped in and found immediate success with the new squad.

What have the Dodgers done since that day they made his hiring official in November of 2015? They’ve won 8 consecutive division titles, been to 3 World Series in 4 years, won 486 regular-season games, and just clinched their 9th consecutive playoff berth.

Obviously 6 of those berths came with Doc running the team. After beating the Diamondbacks and clinching another October run, Justin Turner talked about what the skipper has meant to this team. And JT is ready to go out and win another title for Doc.

He’s been great for us since the first day he put on the Dodger uniform as our manager. He’s a positive guy and he loves the game, he loves his players. We love going out and competing for him. So I can’t say enough about him and what he’s done, and we’re going to do everything we can to go out and win him another championship.

Say what you will about Dave Roberts and the job he has done over the years, but these Dodgers players love him. That much is clear every time that you hear one of them asked about Doc and how he is as a manager.

Roberts and the Dodgers already brought home the first World Series since 1988 for Los Angeles last year. Could they have another big run left in them for this year?

  1. If numb skull Dave hadn’t started Yu Darvish in the final game of the 2017 World Series, they would have won another one. Alex Wood would have been a much better choice.
