Dodgers: Kirk Gibson Special To Air Sunday Night After NLDS Game 3

If you enjoyed ‘Only in Hollywood’ about the 1988 Dodgers on MLB Network earlier this year, we have something similar that should pique your interest. On Sunday night on Fox Sports 1, “Walk-off Stories: Improbably Gibson” will air following game three of the NLDS between the Braves and the Dodgers.

Here are the details:

Directed by Mike Tollin and Jon Weinbach of Mandalay Sports Media, the film presents an entertaining and fresh retrospective of Gibson’s historic walk-off home run in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series. It features unique footage and insightful interviews from players, coaches, broadcasters, and fans including Gibson, Dennis Eckersley, Orel Hershiser, Vin Scully, Dave Stewart, Jose Canseco and more.

Nevertheless, this sounds really great, let’s take a look at the trailer; shall we?

Uh, yeah I am going to need to watch this as soon as possible. They had me at Vin saying ‘and look whose coming up’. And since I am the guy writing this post, I have an advance copy. Don’t worry – I won’t spoil it for you after I watch it in advance of Sunday evening.

We’re extremely fortunate to have these moments in our franchise history – and directors that want to crank out content about it. Make sure you set your DVR’s or a reminder in your phone about ‘Improbably Gibson’ on Sunday night.
