The Dodgers came out swinging against the Giants on Saturday night. Facing the possibility of going down 2 games in the Division Series, the Los Angeles bats came to life and kept them int eh thick of things.
But the Dodgers also showed a lot of life over on defense. Sparkling plays from guys like Trea Turner and Cody Bellinger provided some extra spark and helped to back up Julio Urias’ stellar outing.
But one play in particular by Mookie Betts had fans in awe. In the bottom of the 6th inning with the Dodgers up a few runs, Betts ran in on a blooper and played it perfectly. The ball fell in and he baited the runner into making the turn for third. That’s when he unleashed a perfect strike and one of the hardest throws by a Dodger outfielder in 2021.
Lakers’ star LeBron James took notice.
Wow is CORRECT! Flat out STRIKE https://t.co/SFH9g6zmZN

Talent recognizes talent, and LeBron always supports the Dodgers whenever they’re making a run. He was seen wearing Dodger shirts and hats throughout October last year after the Lakers won their championship.
And Mookie is the guy that’s going to be in Los Angeles for a long, long time. When you think about the stars of Los Angeles, the Dodgers outfielder is right up there with the best of them.
