Dodgers: Life Without Mookie, McKinney Lives, Wild Matt Beaty Theories, Wild Card Bound? | Blue Heaven Podcast

The Dodgers go 5-1 on the road trip but unearth some question marks…

  • Should we start planning on life without Mookie Betts in 2021?
  • What is Dave Robert’s obsession with Billy McKinney?
  • Will the defense fail at the worst possible time this season?

Along the way, we discuss some of our theories involving Doc’s relationship with Matt Beaty and wonder why it seriously seems like he’s perpetually in the doghouse.

Next, with 44 games left (as of pre-game on Monday), are the Dodgers running out of time to catch the very real Giants for that 9th straight NL West crown? Clint and Brook argue over the final outcome of this season and whether it’s time to accept that a Wild Card berth is ok.

  1. I want a division title especially when we have games versus the Giants. I want to beat this team and capture a title and a high level play-off berth. Any players who think that well we will get at least a play off. should be benched. With this high level of players we need to be coached by the same level. The players need to understand that the fans pay their way that’s just the way it is. I don’t want a playoff berth with this high level all star players. 1st or well you know.

    1. Lighten up. It’s just entertainment.
Btw, what position do you play? How much stock do you have in Dodger baseball? Are you a VP I’m baseball operations?

  2. Is there a Mookie on the team? I think there used to be but a lot has happened since last year. Right. There was a Betts but his Butt hurts so he’s out. But we got someone who is better. His name Turner. Not JT but Trea. He’s baseballs answer to losing Betts. He’s better. He can fly around the bases like nobody else. He can hit the ball like nobody else can. He is worth more money than Betts. Goodnight Mookie hope your ass feels better. See Ya

    1. Such a fool you are. Do you realize LA has Betts on the books for another ten years? 365 Million.
      Betts ain’t going nowhere.

  3. Get rid of Roberts. He makes more bad decisions than Joe Biden. The dodgers have so much talent they win in spite of him. He has cost them way to many games.

    1. When the game comes down to strategy, we have no chance due to our cheerleading manager. That is why our record in 1 run and extra inning games has been so bad for a team with this much talent. Why is he sitting JT after he only played 2 games in succession? Why does he continue to put faith in Bellinger at the plate? Why does he play Barnes over Will after Will carried the team against the Mets. I’m hoping this is his last year especially if they don’t win the championship.
