Dodgers Lose RHP Shane Greene to the Yankees

The Dodgers will not have Shane Greene returning to their roster. After he was designated for assignment again, there was the chance that he could be back with the team. That’s his decision to make though and he ended up going to the Yankees on a minor league deal.

Greene pitched just once for the Dodgers this year after re-signing. He tossed two scoreless innings of relief and was then removed from the roster. Los Angeles needed to add in David Price, and Greene got the boot.

He pitched in a total of 10 games for the Dodgers across 2 seasons. Combined, he finished with a 3.12 ERA and 8 strikeouts across 8.2 innings of work. So another name that has come and gone out of that bullpen.

Other Dodgers News

Dodgers pitcher Evan Phillips earned his spot in history this week. When he stepped into the batter’s box to hit, he became the first Los Angeles pitcher to get a chance to hit with the universal designated hitter still in play.

Gavin Lux is used to going viral for some of the wild faces that he makes during games. But this week, he went viral for all of the wrong reasons. It happened on a play at third base when Lux got tagged, and it was…tough to watch. Poor guy.
