Dodgers Make Next Round of Spring Training Cuts, 8 Players Send to MiLB Camp
After Sunday’s loss to Texas, the Dodgers announced the next round of spring training cuts from major league camp.
The Dodgers have optioned RHP Josh Sborz and have reassigned LHPs Kyle Lobstein and Tyler Gilbert, RHPs Marshall Kasowski and Jordan Sheffield, C Stevie Berman and IF Cristian Santana to minor league camp. The Spring Training roster is now 51 (23 pitchers, 28 position players).

Among the cuts were right-handed reliever Josh Sborz, a 40-man roster pitcher that’s working on adding a changeup to his mix this spring. Other higher profile names include corner infielder Cristian Santana and hard throwing righty Jordan Sheffield.
This comes on the heels of Josiah Gray and Edwin Uceta’s reassignment to minor league camp on Friday.
Moreover, with Sunday’s cuts, the major league clubhouse sits at 51 — 23 pitchers, 28 position players — as the tweet notes.
Less than two weeks remain between now and opening day at Dodger Stadium.
