Player of the Day – Joey Curletta

The Dodgers’ 6th rounder in 2012, Curletta struggled in his debut, batting .149 in 25 games with the Arizona League Dodgers. In 2013, he turned things around in Ogden, hitting .326 in 62 games with 16 doubles and 5 home runs. In 2014, he’s off to a hot start, collecting his 3rd 3 hit game in the team’s first 6 contests. Joey’s hitting .423 on the young season, though he has struck out 9 times in 26 at bats. The 20 year old right fielder has some work to do at the plate but has huge power potential.
