Player of the Day – Alex Guerrero

After doubling and homering in a 3-4 debut with the Topes, Guerrero stayed red hot by reaching base safely in all four of his plate appearances and smashing another homer in his second game. In two games, he’s homered twice and made just one out. Now, granted, he’s a 27-year-old playing in Triple A, but the power is real and he showed a pretty good eye in spring training. As I said yesterday, the Dodgers don’t have to rush him to the majors with Dee Gordon’s hot start, but I could see a platoon forming later in the year.
