Player of the Day – Chris Jacobs

Another quick shoutout to Fabio Martinez, who took a no-hitter into the 6th inning for the third time this season. He allowed just a single in his final inning while striking out the side. The walks continue to be a concern, but his pure stuff is among the best in the system. Now, onto Big Jake, who just keeps on hitting. Over his last 10 games, Jacobs is hitting .439 with a 1.221 OPS with six doubles and a pair of home runs. He’s not long for High A and needs to be challenged in Chattanooga.
