Player of the Day – Trayvon Robinson

A quick nod to Windle, who tossed six scoreless innings. That Would have been good enough for a win had the Quakes’ offense not been no-hit. Now, onto Robinson. The left fielder was a 10th round pick of the Dodgers in 2005. Once a top prospect, he was traded to the Seattle Mariners in the deal that landed the Dodgers Tim Federowicz and Stephen Fife.

Robinson made the majors in 2011 and played part of 2012 with the Mariners as well, but wasn’t able to stick. Now back with the Dodgers at age 26, he’s no longer a prospect but still one of the better persons you’ll find in the minors. He grew up in southern California and went to Crenshaw high school, so it would be great if he could play in Dodger Stadium once before he hangs them up.
