Player of the Day – Chris Jacobs
Chris Jacobs is riding an impressive hot streak, batting .353 over his last 10 games with three doubles and four home runs. The 6’5,257-pound first baseman has some of the best raw power in the farm system, but struggles to make contact due to his long arms. Over his last 10 games, Jacobs has walked eight times and struck out seven. Despite his current streak, Jacobs needs to prove he can be consistent at the Double-A level, which he should get the opportunity to do so during the summer.
