Player of the Day – Corey Seager
Believe it or not, but Seager actually cooled off for a few games after his stellar month of May, when he hit .400. He began the month of June on an 0-for-11 slide, but has since collected three straight multi-hit games and has three home runs and two doubles in his last three games.
On Friday, Seager blasted two moon shots to right field, giving him 11 home runs on the year. His OPS is back up over 1.000 and he’s second in the league with a .348 batting average and first in OPS at 1.017. After the Cal League All Star game, I expect Seager to head up to Chattanooga.
