Player of the Day – Justin Chigbogu

Chigbogu started the season with Great Lakes, but after batting .156 in 24 games, he was sent to extended Spring Training until rookie ball started up. He joined Ogden and immediately saw a rise in his production, which was not a shock given the relative experience level and environment.

Chigbogu is on a tear right now with four home runs in his last three games and an 1.148 OPS over his last 10 games. He still needs to cut down on the strikeouts, but the upside is considerable.
