Player of the Day – Jharel Cotton

Cotton was named the pitcher of the week in the California League for his 7 innings of one-hit ball last Tuesday. Yesterday, he one-upped himself by pitching a complete game shutout, allowing just two hits and a pair of walks while striking out 11.

The 22-year-old righty has had his ups and downs on the season but is nearly untouchable right now. Hopefully he can continue this dominance.
