Player of the Day – Matt Shelton

Shelton gave a much better effort than the result would indicate, but his offense was held to just three hits. He pitched fairly well during the regular season and gave Double-A Chattanooga a great chance to advance in the playoffs on Sunday. The 25 year old was drafted by the Dodgers in 2011.

With the loss Sunday, the Lookouts must now win Monday if they hope to avoid being eliminated in the playoffs.
