Player of the Day – Corey Seager

The Lookouts sent Andres Santiago to the hill for the first game of the Southern League championship series, but the right-hander couldn’t find his command, walking four batters in two innings of work.

By the bottom of the second, Jacksonville had a 5-1 lead that Double-A Chattanooga couldn’t overcome. Seager did his part to attempt a comeback, homering in the sixth and singling in the eighth, but to no avail. The Lookouts send Steve Smith to the mound for Game 2, which is Thursday at 4:15 p.m. PST.
