Julio Urias continues to recover from eye surgery and should return before the major league all star break.

Corey Seager is having some bad luck with balls in play, but flexed his muscles last week by hitting a pair of home runs on Wednesday. He’s also walked as many times as he struck out in June.

Alex Verdugo has seemingly turned his season around. After OPSing .584 in April and .488 in May, Verdugo made an adjustment to his stride which has paid off in a big way. He’s OPSing .821 in June with nine doubles and his only home run of the season.

Jose De Leon is finally being challenged in Double-A and he’s responding well. Last week, he made two starts, allowing three runs in 12 innings while striking out 11.

Julian Leon is still struggling to hit in Great Lakes, going 1-for-18 last week.

Chris Anderson had an up and down outing on Wednesday, allowing six hits and walking four in six innings. However, he only surrendered one run.

Zach Lee was placed on the disabled list after feeling a tingling sensation in his fingers. He recently began a throwing program and may return to game action in the next few weeks.

Notable Performances

-Second-rounder Mitch Hansen has gotten off to a rocky start with the Arizona League Dodgers, going 1-for-16 last week.

-Fourth-rounder Willie Calhoun is tearing the cover off the ball with Ogden, hitting two doubles and three home runs last week for the Raptors. Even his outs are loud.

Jharel Cotton, working his way back from a wrist injury, made two starts with Double-A Tulsa last week, allowing just two runs in 13 innings.
