Dodgers: Mookie Betts Buys Groceries For Store Full of Shoppers
Add Mookie Betts to the list full of Dodgers making a difference during this pandemic. The newly acquired MVP made a surprise appearance at a store in Tennessee, just outside of Nashville. Betts was born in Nashville and went to high school there.
Cool! @mookiebetts surprised shoppers at the Kroger in Bordeaux, TN by buying their groceries. The former Overton Bobcat and current LA Dodgers OF also treated the staff at the store to pizza to thank them for all the hard work they have been doing as essential front-line workers pic.twitter.com/gGcXDkWSMV

As you already know, the Dodgers acquired Mookie Betts in February of this year, giving them two former MVP’s in a stacked outfield. Betts had just 21 at-bats with the Dodgers during Spring Training before the COVID-19 pandemic shut everything down.
So far, the biggest concern to Dodgers fans during this pandemic has been whether or not the offseason trade was for nothing. If no games were played in 2020, Betts would be able to walk as a free agent without playing one game in Los Angeles.
Nevertheless, seeing a guy with Mookie‘s star power doing something so good for the world is so good to see. Thank you, Mookie!
