Dodgers: Mookie Betts Spring Training Highlights

The Dodgers’ Spring Training was cut short from a mandate from the league, but that can’t stop us from a highlight reel! Los Angeles traded for Mookie Betts in February, and fans were lucky enough to see him get some at-bats before the league shut down.

Betts was able to get 23 plate appearances in for the Dodgers before spring was cut short. He had some food poisoning earlier in camp, so he missed a couple of games. He had five hits and did not strike out, with one extra-base hit.

Betts was acquired along with pitcher David Price from the Boston Red Sox in February. Alex Verdugo, Jeter Downs, and Connor Wong went to Boston in the deal.

Spring Training was cut short by Major League Baseball out of fears over the coronavirus. The Dodgers have not yet been told they have to go home, but they have the option to stay.
