One topic of discussion that has seemingly never subsided since Spring Training is the likeliness of the Los Angeles Dodgers trading away one of their outfielders. With the non-waiver trade deadline on July 31, rumors have been plentiful in recent days.
The latest rumors have been centered around Matt Kemp. The outfielder has expressed his desire to return to center field, which doesn’t appear to be something that will happen with the Dodgers.
Jon Morosi was a guest on MLB Network’s High Heat and said the Dodgers will likely need to move an outfielder for the simple fact of having a disgruntled player on the roster could cause create an issue.
In light of Dave Stewart, Kemp’s agent, stating his client wishes to play every day and is open to being traded, Morosi believes is the player most likely to be moved. According to Morosi, if that is the route the Dodgers are to take, it may be followed by Joc Pederson’s MLB debut.
