Dodgers News And Rumors: Puig Leads Outfielders In All-Star Voting
Major League Baseball All-Star Game buzz is in the air, and nobody other than Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig is soaring amongst the talk.
Puig has jumped four spots in the latest All-Star ballot and is now sitting comfortably with 935,726 votes accumulated. He’s moved ahead of Colorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon and Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton.
Fellow Dodger first baseman Adrian Gonzalez continues to remain the vote leader at his position. Meanwhile, Dodgers’ second baseman Dee Gordon sits behind Philadelphia Phillies’ veteran Chase Utley in second baseman voting. If Gordon were to jump ahead of Utley, the entire right side of the field would be covered in Dodger Blue.
The left side of the Dodgers infield, which consists of Hanley Ramirez and Juan Uribe, remain in the top five of vote-getters.
